Lisbon Emergency was started in the late 1970’s by citizens of Lisbon after a student lost his life in a vehicle accident, the responding ambulance was coming from Lewiston. Lisbon Emergency is a 501 (C)3 non- profit ambulance service. Our coverage areas are the towns of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Lisbon covering 105 square miles and a population of roughly 16,000. We are permitted to the Paramedic Level and Licensed at the Basic EMT Level by Maine EMS. We have three fully equipped Advanced Life Support Ambulances, we staff Ambulance 24/7 with one staffed 12 hours per day/ 7 days per week.

Lisbon Emergency is active in our communities offering training to EMS Providers, CPR training, EMS coverage of school sporting events, Moxie Days, Fire Scene standby and transfers.
