Lisbon Emergency was started in the late 1970’s by citizens of Lisbon after a student lost his life in a vehicle accident, the responding ambulance was coming from Lewiston. Lisbon Emergency is a 501 (C)3 non- profit ambulance service. Our coverage areas are the towns of Bowdoin and Lisbon covering 66 square miles and a population of roughly 12,000. We are permitted to the Paramedic Level and Licensed at the Basic EMT Level by Maine EMS. We have two fully equipped Advanced Life Support Ambulances, one staffed 24/7 with the other available for second calls.
Lisbon Emergency is active in our communities offering training to EMS Providers, CPR training, EMS coverage of school sporting events, Moxie Days, Fire Scene standby and transfers.
CPR and tours of our base are on hold during the COVID-19 outbreak per CDC requirements. Our base currently is not open to the public until further notice. If you are having an emergency dial 911.
